I have an old dual corney that needs to be rebuilt.
I found some kits cheap but this thing is a little beat up but looks solidly built.

Is it worth fixing up and will it last for a bit or should I look for a new one?

I have a keg-co reg I bought 3 yrs ago when I first got into kegging and that works fine so far.

If the body castings and bonnets are sound everything else can be replaced at modest cost and effort. But, sans revealing pictures, you're the only one who would know if that investment is worthwhile...

Cheers!

Here is what I’m working with. One of the diaphragm’s is bad. I have a rebuild kit for both Regs and gauges from a cheap regulator whose diaphragm’s chewed themselves up after 6 months.

I just was wondering if I should go through the trouble or buy new. If this is a decent regulator I’ll rebuild it.

Thanks

i hate to sound naive...but what's a 'dual corney'?

edit: ah, looks like garbage....a new reg is only like $60

This is a Cornelius dual regular so I was calling it a dual corny.
I spelled it wrong. lol.

yeah, it served me fairly well for a few yrs but had some issues and required me to use some keg lube here and there because I couldn't find parts for less than $30.
then I ran into the parts on midwest i think in the clearance section cheap.

but after my cheap amazon reg died just tonight I don't want to deal with cheap regulators or band-aids on old ones.

.

i was wondering if it was some sorta 10 gal ball lock keg or something...lol

but i would say looks like the guages are shot, so a new one would be the best bet...(also looks like that thing is from the 50's!)

It was originally used for pop back when they used the kegs for it so it's old.
