Hello I have a few questions any advice is greatly appreciated. I recently brewed a coopers stout with black treacle tastes brilliant but smells heavily of iron anybody else had this problem? I'm about to start an Irish stout when I bottle it I plan on making a few variances I would like to make some coffee stouts some coffee and vanilla stouts I was planning on adding these at bottling I want to know if anybody has any good recipes with specific amounts to add to each bottle holding around a pint . As I said earlier any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'd like the vanilla taste to be present but not overpowering and the same applies to the coffee thanks and happy brewing to all!

I've heard of people soaking a vanilla bean in vodka and adding this to the secondary. I think its in how to brew that he says to brew a full pot of coffee cool it and add this to your priming bucket before bottling for a coffee stout. I have never done either but will eventually

Yea, add your coffee at bottling time so you know what the heck it's gonna taste like.
