There have been a few threads floating around about converting wine coolers to operate at lower temperatures. I've looked thru all of them, but have a general question about temperature control units that operate wine coolers and mini fridges.
The following two links are what my Magic Chef wine cooler uses as the temperature control device. There is a main wire that comes off of the temperature control unit and goes to (I think) the compressor. It looks like a thermocouple lead, although I'm not positive.
Is the small inset on the face of the controller a hole of an adjustment screw? Can you adjust the limit simply by turning this screw? I won't have access to the wine cooler for a little while, which is why I'm asking
If not, any idea what I could do with the main lead that goes to the compressor to "trick" it to always be on (and controlled by a Johnson Controller)? Thanks in advance!
