I've got a family brew contest coming up in Oct. I want to do something different but good. I was thinking cedar ipa or using some bourbon. Anyone have any good "out there" brews that would be good. I like to get crazy so any suggestions would be great.

I had a sour ipa recently that was really out there but delicious. It was a blend between a Flemish and an ipa. Tasted like carbonated grapefruit juice, in a good way.
