containers for fermenting

i work in foodservice and the five gallon jugs we get vegetable oil in look very similar to the ones online hbs s are using to ship malt syrups and other liquid ingredients for homebrewing would you recommended re usinging these for fermenters

I can offer my opinion here... First off, a 5 gallon container is too small for any larger than around a 3 gal batch. Also, check the recycling code. I imagine it is food grade, but you can check that it says HDPE 1 or HDPE 2 to make sure the plastic is okay to reuse for brewing. I hope this helps.
