I grabbed this cooler today for $15 at Sears and I want to begin my all grain journey with it using the Batch Sparging method. I've seen a million different posts about what tools and equipment to buy to convert the already drilled hole into a nice run off for me. I have found this on Amazon "Full Port weldless ball valve for thick walled coolers. Threaded nipple is 2 1/8" long male NPT." The seller also said he will include a barb with it even though it is not shown. Will this work?? Will I need anything else other than the bazooka?

You'll need a manifold of sorts to filter the wort from the grains as well as the items to connect to the valve. I use a stainless steel water heater braid to accomplish this. I think I just Youtubed how to do it.

What do you mean items to connect to the valve? The bazooka is the serated stainless steel filter btw

Is the bazooka threaded to thread into/onto your valve inside the cooler? If so that should be all you need. Alternatively you can just put the grains in a bag and then you don't need the bazooka at all.

I also wanted to verify that the measurements of this kit were correct for this cooler

A biab bag fit for the cooler would require no additional work. No ball valve, no screen, no nothing.

Yes, a bag will work to mash in that cooler.

The easiest method IMO to convert that cooler is with a braid and tubing. Search "ten minute mash tun" on the google.

Sorry can't provide the link.
