Cold weather yeast

Gotta say I'm really proud of my yeast. My house averages about 10c (50f). When I'm in I have the heat on, but mostly it's pretty damn cold. Yet my yeast is still bubbling away, about 8 or 9 bpm for 5 days now.

And where is Nishinomiya? And I thought my house was cold.

It was a dried ale yeast. Nottingham.

Japan doesn't insulate (or didn't when my house was built).

Catfish Go with a lager yeast if your house is cold. Ale yeasts pretty much stop below 65 Farenheit.
