Guys this may be out there already. But, i am looking to add cold brewed coffee to my next Vanilla Cream Ale. A 5 gallon batch. How much can I use without overpowering the brew?

I would recommend adding to taste, start with a small amount say 1 cup, and keep sampling while you add more. Did this with a breakfast porter and it worked out fine. Just remember how much you add for next time.

I just kegged an Irish coffee brown ale and we added 1 liter of cold brewed coffee. The flavor is subtle but present. There a bunch of factors. Depends on the beer it's being added to, the roast of the coffee, the strength of the coffee, etc... The beauty of adding it at bottling/kegging is you can set up "titrations" to determine exactly how much to add. I would say have at least a gallon of coffee prepared so you have enough if you need it.

Anything special done with the coffee so that it provides no color only taste? I would like to keep the golden color.

That article took care of most of my questions.

Thanks microbusbrewery!

I used a quart of chameleon cold brewed coffee when I made yoopers oatmeal stout. It came out perfect. The chameleon cold brewed coffee is available at whole foods. It is very concentrated which helps to reduce the addition of too much water. Just dumped it in the bottling bucket with priming sugar at bottling
