1 can of coopers stout malt extract
shredded coconut
batch of coffee

Im going for a beer thats 6-7% abv.

I know its very vague, but i'm a newbie, any suggestions?

1. use some dark DME -- ignore their directions if it says to add corn sugar. I would add 2-3lbs of dark DME.
2. use unsweetened coconut - sometimes it's hard as hell to find it.
3. I would use a different yeast than the coopers that is provided. Nottingham would be fine.

I know I just changed your $12 kit into a 30 dollar kit, but it will be worth it.
