Been using this website for info on brewing, so i thought that I should join in a bit.
Brewing a slightly wacko brew; Black IPA or London Brown Ale????

Pale Ale malt 8 Lbs
crystal 120 0.5Lbs
chocolate Rye 0.5Lbs
east Kent goldings 1oz 60 mins
Northern brewer 1oz 30 mins
Citrus 0.5 oz 0 mins
could nt find my English Ale yeast so added wifes two 8 gms packs of Fleischmanns Pizza Yeast.
Fermenting like the clappers!!

Thought as I had nothing to lose, so I thought that I would experiment so :
added 1lb Golden Syrup
1lb Buckwheat honey
tonight on day three.

Batch size is just under 5 Gallons. OG was 1.035. Smells wicked at mo.

I have some Yeast starting from dregs of 6 bottles of Amsterdam Boneshaker. The big question is Should I add this ale yeast or not?

Does any of you experienced brewers have an idea as to how this will turn out. All options would be highly valued.

Cheers, Paul

Thanks cyclman,

Yes it did start off as a brown Ale. I was just wondering if the changes had morft it into something else. Any idea of the FG I should be aiming for?

Im in Burlington Ontario. Thanks for the info guys. I use "Better Bitters"
on Drury Lane for quick supplies and OBKs for stuff that i can wait longer for. Very impressed with both. Again Thanks for the welcome and input. Happy brewing lads.
