Ok so i just got a used co2 regulator but the pressure gauge seems too high, if i change the gauge on it will i be able to use it considering beer server/carbing psi isnt very high?

Also i got two corny kegs previously used for soda, should i change the o-rings?

Yes, you can change it to a lower pressure gauge, but the regulator itself might still be 'rough' to make small adjustments...just depends. but the lower psi gauge would help.

and yes, i'd refurb both kegs with new o-rings (dip tubes, posts and lid) make sure the poppets are all gummed up from dried up soda syrup.

Ok so I'll order a new o-ring set for each keg, I pulled the poppers out and cleaned them in oxyclean they seem clean. Your saying I should change my diptube too or just the o-ring on it?

With the regulator I'll try the new gauge see if it works

just the o-rings on the two dip-tubes. the liquid one especially can get infused with soda pop flavors.

alright so ill be buying 2 new sets of o-rings, now i have another question.
The connects i have for gas and liquid are both 1/4 inch but everywhere im reading says that 1/4 inch for beer is only ok if you running 10+ feet of hose.
So my question is, Can i squeeze 3/16th hose onto a 1/4 inch barb and use that or should i buy some 1/4 x 3/16 reducing barbs?

I figured the size between 1/4 and 3/16 is pretty negligible that i can squeeze the 3/16 hose onto the 1/4 inch barb and it'll be a nice airtight fit but i figure i should ask before i buy lol

Yes, you can get 3/16 hose over a 1/4 barb. It sometimes helps to dunk the end of the hose in some hot water to make it a bit more pliable. Your best bet is to get some of the thick-walled beverage tubing, as some people have problems with plastic taste from standard vinyl tubing.
