This is kind of a weird question. I bought a regulator (taperite double gauge) but the store should have sent me one with two outs, instead they sent one with one out. They will probably replace it with one with two outs, but the store is closed due to holidays and will not open again till next monday. I really want to carb a beer in my keg this week, or at least transfer it to the keg and purge the oxygen (don't have another fermenter free). My doubt is, if I do this, will the store know that I have already used once it when I return it? I know it is kind of a weird/stupid question, but I really do want to carbonate my beer this week. Thanks!

A double gauge regulator typically has 1 output. One gauge is the low pressure and one is the tank pressure.

A dual regulator has two outputs from two independent regulators inline with each other. They are completely different animals.

Are you sure you ordered the regulator with 2 outputs?

Yes, it has two gauges one that measures the amount of CO2 and one the amount of pressure. I didn't order a dual regulator (two different pressures), but one with one pressure but two outputs out of the same head (if that makes sense?). Instead I got one with one output, but my question is, if I use will they know? LOL.

Maybe. But they just forgot the wye? That should matter. Just be super careful with it. It will show wear from tightening it to the tank or installing some sort of hose to it. Otherwise you can't see the wear. Use the proper wrenches and they won't know.

They may know but you have the right regulator just not the manifold or y splitter to allow two kegs to carb at once. Why send a whole new regulator? Sounds odd.
