I tapped a 1/6 keg of beer Saturday and it poured fine until today. Now when I try to pour a beer the first thing that happens is air and a little bit of beer shoots out, I don't know what to do. I have my pressure set on 12 psi and have about 6' of 3/16 hose. Any help would be appreciated. I searched for a similar thread before I posted this, if there is another thread admins please delete.

So it poured fine for two days?

What is the beer temperature, and what is the CO2 pressure?
How was the beer carbonated?
How long is the beer line?
What kind of faucet?
Where is the keg: in a keezer, kegerator, trash bucket filled with ice, or ?

Cheers!

Is it a commercial keg? Try to find the carb level from the brewery and match it. Also try to keep the line colder.

It is in a kegerator that i bought, it is running at 12psi, i have roughly 5-6 foot of 3/16" hose, I don't know the temp or faucet type (i just put in a tower rebuild kit). I have the keg on its coldest temp. I know it is not close to empty, I have been the only person to drink off of the keg.

Ok, the faucet type was to see if you're using a pick-a-nick tap or a mounted faucet.

You're probably going to want to find out what the temperature of the beer in the keg is. "12 psi" is only meaningful when the temperature is known, as that could provide as little as 2 volumes of CO2 (@ 50°F) or as much as 3 volumes of CO2 (@ 33°F), and those five foot lines are unlikely to work well at 3 volumes.

You might sneak up on the system after it's been sitting overnight and check the beer line to see if it's filled with gas bubbles...

Cheers!

Should I try a 10 ft long line? My kegerator is a Marvel Kegerator, it doesn't have a temp gauge. It can only be set on a 1-6 setting. A few years ago I used a longer line but I seemed to have more trouble with the longer line that the shorter one. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'd honestly start with the basics. You wouldn't be the first person to have good pours on 5 foot beer lines (if we can straighten out what ails ya ;) ). Find something that can tell you what the temperature of your kegerator interior is running at.

Eg: If the keg was colder on Saturday than it is now, that could explain the CO2 breakout...

Cheers!

We're trying to help but you aren't answering our questions! What's in the keg, commercial beer or homebrew? If it's commercial, what is it? If it's homebrew, how did you carbonate it? Either way you need to know the temperature in there. I'd place a glass of water in the kegerator, leave it overnight then measure its temp with a calibrated thermometer.

hey
im in the uk and trying to find a place on line that sells the lines from the regulator to the corny keg, And ideas?
Cheers!
