Yes, I popped the keg vent and turned it 90 degrees so it would vent, but the beer would not flow. It was clearly not making it past the black keg post on the 'out' side. Beer ran clear, no particles, all the way to where it stopped. I even ended up popping the lid off the keg, still no flow.
You may either have blockage in the disconnect or the pickup tube in the keg. It only takes a small amount of pressure to do the transfer. Take the pickup tube fitting off the keg and connect it to the disconnect, apply pressure. Any restriction ? Pull the pickup tube out of the keg and check for blockage.
 
I'm going to try it in a couple of days. I think having a Speidel fermenter will help a bit. I'm currently cold-crashing under CO2.
