Hey fellow homebrewers, I recently purchased a filter system, which already has the keg disconnects installed, which seems awesome, but I'm now worried about cleaning the tubes. Since the keg disconnects are attached, how would I clean the tubing? The only thing I can think of is to unscrew the fastners and pull the tubes from the disconnects, but I would think that might ruin the connections over time. Any thoughts? How do you guys handle this?

I've now figured out the best way to do this. I wasn't even realizing I could unscrew the top of a disconnect to prevent it from stopping the flow. Once I did that, I was able to run water through the tube. I of course unscrewed both tubes from the filter system. Works great.

Now, I do have another question. Have any of you been able to reuse a 1 micron filter? The filter doesn't seem that bad, but there are a few noticeable marks from the sediment that wouldn't come off. Is it ok to reuse or should I just throw them away each time I use them?

Not sure what type of filter membrane you are using. There are plastic and metal reusable ones. I use the fiber membranes. These are one time use as I don't know how you would ever get it sanitized after it gets debris in it from using it.
