CIP for Ss Brewtech 7gal buckets

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to do CIP for my Ss Brewtech 7gal BE buckets (I have 20 buckets).

I noticed that they have this lid and micro spray ball, but the ball valve of the bucket seems to be too small to do CIP.

Does anyone here have experience doing this?

CIP is pretty much impossible with brewbuckets because theres no dump valve at the bottom. You'd still be left with whatever is below the racking arm. Not to mention the racking arm is too small to supply enough liquid and pressure to make a CIP ball spin. For as convenient as the Brewbuckets are, CIP is not an option really

I think something like Marks Keg Washer would be better.

I got a 7g and have a keg washer... I have not found a good way to CIP this bucket. The hole/spout is not full 1/2" ID so draining is too slow. I thought you could just CIP it like normal and then dump the residual out when done since it has no cone/dump. If i try to spray-ball it through the 1/2" TC Port I put on the top it builds pressure... any slower and it won't turn the sprayball.

I have a 1/2" TC port i put on the top (weldless fitting) and I just stick theeg washer ball up through that and seal the lid then let it run sitting upside down. Doesn't do the best job, has to turn off/on to let water drain. It's a real pain. I bet if I got the 3" TC lid it would work better but i'm not sold on dumping any more money into the bucket.

actually not a bad idea... i'll go see if it'll fit in the washer later. It may not be the most economical way with no re-using of detergent and fitting only one. But def would be easy-peasy. Toss all the fittings/parts in the silverware container and slide the lid in the "dishes" spot vertically...

Thought about Dishwasher for mine, but definitely doesnt fit. I'd have to take out the top rack, and even then its tight. Just not worth it to me personally. I just empty everything out, rinse with hot water, fill with hot water and Oxiclean, let it soak for 20-30, quick scrub with a bristle brush aroudn the Krausen line, dump it, rinse with hot clean water, and then i let it air dry

I put my brew bucket, catalyst and malt pipe in, works a treat. Just remove the top rack.
