Just got a text from a friend saying that "Cat members should be livid. Every beer that was cat exclusive was here at basically no limit"

So glad I joined up with this exclusive club.
I just don't see where it claims that the beers are Catador Club exclusives. It seems like a lot of entitlement going on about this. Am I missing something?

God why can't breweries and festival organizers get this **** straight? I realize that managing an event like that must be hard, but plenty of people do it right. I can't imagine that anything like this would fly outside of the beer scene. Not sure why it keeps happening with beer.

Ross AllenYou guys suck ass! 50
Bucks to stand in line and miss all the beers I drove miles to tastes!!! **** you cigar city and the wasted promises! I finally get in line to grab my bottles at 330 after waiting in line for almost 3 hours! Finally get up to but my Hunah at 4:20 and you tell me now your only filling the 12 pack cases and not the 3 braclete limit of 3 per person! Needless to say I paid 50 per person times 2 people [me and my girlfriend] and waiting in Line for 3 hours an still didn't get my beer cuz it was after 4. **** you guys and you manulitive ********. Tell us all to sure up late to avoid lines only to show up to a line for 3 hours. Im sure a loyalist and this is how's the brewery does. Capped at 3500, but over 7k in the event. Such ********, more about the money than than the loyalist fans to the brewery! Cigar city Sold out for more money! I basically paid 50 bucks to sit in line!!!!!!! ******* ******** and a crock of ****!!!! **** this bull no more till they get their **** together!!!!!!

ahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Honestly, I'd be pissed too.

Breweries are bad event planners/managers though. You should go to any festival expecting a **** show and to be ripped off.

Were they selling anything else from El Cat other then dbl huna?

At 1030 am I was in line for merch. Some chick says if you are line for the special release stay to the right. After about 25 min someone say they are selling left over el cat beers. (I am a member) I was 5th in line. Got my case my buddy got his. They had **** load. They had db huna illuminateing the path gga an dg. One guy said all but the db huna was beer not picked up.

I think it was awesome. At least I got something for my 50. The rest of the day wad a clusterfuck. If you are an el cat member quit ur bitching. You had a chance to get special beers. Uf u dudnt pick it up its on you.

The only thing I can possibly think of to explain this is that all the DB Huna being sold was somehow not picked up before the shutoff period and they decided to sell if. Even if that is the case, it's still a pretty low thing to do as they could have offered it back up to people in the club again since, according to that email we all got last week, they want it to be a "positive experience for members and one that people are excited to be a part of."

Nope.

I'm really surprised and disappointed that they didn't offer it to El Catador members, but they just took the lazy, opportunistic road. Why maintain a list of names/purchases and have to facilitate pickups when you can just get rid of 71 cases to 71 cash-paying customers. I can't think of any better way for CCB to alienate their base.

1. All of my beers were picked up by a very generous friend without asking for anything in return.
2. We could have been offered more DB Huna as Catador members.
3. We have every right to complain.

Ironic that your last statement was preceded by one where you picked up two cases of DB Huna. I have a sneaking suspicion that you'd have a different opinion if you were shutout and had the warehouse doors shut in your face.

Quit your whining and head over to the taproom tomorrow for free draft pours.

I gave my membership up even before this. I mean, I don't really care that they did it, but it just further solidifies that CCB is a joke a brewery. The fact that 1 out of the 5 beers in the club was worth drinking really ought to be enough for people...

In my eyes, I paid $120 for a bottle of 110k, bunch of beer that was meh, maybe saved $20 at the brewery with the 10% discount and got shut out of the only other beer that was "exclusive"(amplitude) because it was infected and hardly any bottles.

In the end, we didn't know what we were getting ourselves into. Now everybody has learned. Will I renew my Catador membership?

We'll see how they redeem themselves after today.(I feel like I've said this a few too many times. The definition of insanity)

Why renew your membership? Just buy the bottles individually when they are released. That way you can skip the ****** beers and use that money to buy a case of a good beer when it gets released to the public. It's not like the club was a reward for providing the brewery with a form of a cash loan that they could use to improve the brewery.

Well yesterday they sent an email out to Catador members promising they'd make it right, but who knows.

For El Catador Members especially we apologize. We know you guys are used to a much better customer experience and expect it for any event we hold, whether it be for 3500+ people or 35 people.

Keep your silver wristbands from Hunahpu's Day and we will make it up to you. Either for a direct cash amount or an equal trade. We will go out of our way to make it right. Trust us, we REALLY hate how things went today.
