I wonder does anyone know if dmp will help give the yeast nutrients when making cider w/ honey?
Thanks

I don't know for sure - not very sciencey - but anything with protein in should help fermentation. Honey will ferment fine though.

Typically you use either DAP or Fernaid as nutrient in cysers, cider or meads. I would advise using Lalvin yeasts instead of a beer yeast (even though plenty of people seem happy using ale yeast in cider/cyser recipes). The wine yeast is better suited to fermenting non-malt based items.
