Hello, this is my first time of homebrewing and I'm brewing apple cider. First of all I used baker's yeast, I know beer or wine yeast would be better but they are hard to reach where I live and a bit expensive, I wanted to try and see how it will be with baker's yeast. I'm not expecting something perfect.
I started it 1 week ago. I've bought 4 Liters of pasteurized apple juice. I mixed a cup of sugar with some boiling water and added them to the apple mixture. Lastly I added 10 grams of baker's yeast and left it in a dark room with a covering cloth.
According to bubbles and air outcome from airlock, the fermentation has finished 2 days ago (or nearly finished). Then I realized there is a color change on the top. I know after the fermentation the yeast starts to fall down slowly. However, as you can see in the pictures there is a thin layer on the top which looks clear but also like a heterogenous mixture. I wonder if it's okay or I did something wrong.
The scent comes from airlock is not bad though.

I think it's just the light as the just hasn't flocculated the solids and so yet, or maybe it's starting to do so
