I'm going to pop open my chocolate maple porter soon to see how it's doing. It's only been two weeks since I bottled it but I am excited to see how it's coming along.

Hey good luck. There seem to be two schools of thought on this: 1) Every beer you open early is one less beer that you can enjoy properly conditioned; 2) Go ahead and try one early, that's how you learn what the conditioning process is all about.

I tend to be in the second camp, but I do understand the POV for the first.

In any case, enjoy!

I'm with you on the latter, turned out great! Excited for it to finish and share.

I'm actually planning on making a chocolate maple porter too! Did you use real maple syrup? When did too add it in?

Yes, real syrup, I added it two minutes before the end of the boil.

Turned out great
