Hi guys, quick question was planning to make a copper immersion chiller soon (50 ft) and was just wondering about what diameter the circle should be. Thanks in advance

I built a CFC, but if I were to make an IC, I'd make sure the diameter is small enough to fit inside the pot, but also short enough so that most or all coils come in contact with the wort.

Good Luck!

Build it to fit your kettle! Give a little room to play on the sides (maybe an inch or so.)
I actually went and bought some copper wire and used that to hold the coils together. Space them apart a little bit for better mixing, and also so you have some room to clean out the little gaps. and also made some loops for handles. I'd get a picture for you, but I won't be home until about 7 tonight.
Oh and tip (something i screwed up on) make sure you have your inlet/outlet spouts up higher than you need to. I made mine to fit the height of a 5 gallon pot, but when I switched to an 11 gallon pot it won't fit:mad:
