So something went wrong with the temp controller on my chest freezer and after I pitched the yeast this morning (at low 70s), I came home tonight and the temp had dropped to the mid-40s (along with the beer). I took it out and am letting it warm up in the garage. Should I be concerned? Yeast US-05, its a pale ale (OG 1.065). Hoping once it warms up, the yeast will take off.

I’ve had a couple ink birds get stuck on. My theory is that the current spike which occurs when the compressor kicks on welds the contacts in the relay together and the spring which separates them can’t overcome the force of the bond.
