I'm pretty new to home brewing, but it's something that's been way overdue. A friend invited me over and walked me through the process. The wife bought me a kit, and the rest is history.
I love beer, and since I started a few months ago, I've gained a bigger appreciation for it. I've been spending a whole lot of time researching home brewing since I'm on summer break from teaching. I have four batches under my belt so far, three within the past two months - a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale clone at 5.4%, a Pliny clone at 9.5%, and a saison is fermenting in the carboy(OG 1.036).
The best part of it all is my wife is totally game for this and wants to learn too. She wants a hop garden in the backyard and wants me to convert the shed to a bar. "Yes dear"

Cheers
