That's right! So, um, are these flowers in which the cones grow out of? I don't quite know what i've got but i like having about a dozen of them on my Cascade!

Looks like the start of cones to me. I guess there's a benefit to living in Flo-rida after all. But I'm pretty sure that's the only benefit.

Haha, you said it. I sure hope the cones come in QUICK before they spontaneously combust from the summer heat!
