I brew on my electric stove with a help of the heatstick. The vent is a part of the microwave that sits above the stove, and it doesn't work very well. As a matter of fact, it died last night from too much steam. Thankfully, it ended up coming back to life a few hours later.

While vent was turned off during the last 30 minutes of the boil, there was so much steam in the kitchen, that it started condensing on the ceiling and dripping down. Until I replace it with a proper range hood, is there a cheap way to deal with it?

Brewing outside is not an option for me.

Open all nearby windows. Put a box fan in one and make it blow outside. Box fans are under 20 bucks. Pretty cheap.

I crack a window near the stove & turn on the bathroom exhaust fan. Seems to work well for me; but, I only brew inside during the winter when I could use a little moisture.
