Hi
Has anyone used cellar7, 7day wine kits before?
Is it any good?
As this is my first attempt at home brewing has any of you any tips on this particular kit which is not stated in the instructions??

There is no such thing as "7 day" wine. I'd skip that kit and get a 28 day kit, actually doing it in 90 or 180 days.

Ready to drink in 9 months or longer.

Sorry never used that kit before, but here's some basic info in general.

The "7 days" mentioned refers to the fermentation period, which will have (in theory) finished in 7 days. You will need to bottle and age a bit afterwards. A low cost kit can benefit from a "super smoother" pack that can be found at your LHBS. This will give it a bit more body and tannins.

Hope that helps! :)

Hello, ive just completed the Cellar 7 merlot kit and to be honest (not being a wine connoisseur ) it tastes really good, it isnt as such a low cost kit at £38 but obviously for me it was a good place to start as if it turned out not so good i'd know my benchmark. But to be honest its not bad at all i have to say. Im moving onto Beaverdale next as that is supposed to be a better tasting wine again. Hope this helps.
