Cast Iron Burner issue

I just got a new Cast Iron burner.

I tested it and it works just fine but after about 1-2 minutes it flames out the backside of the burner where it connect to the hose.

Where it is flaming out it looks like there are 3 triangles for letting in air.

Do I need to adjust these and open them up or is something else the issue.

Yes. The hole will adjust your air/gas mixture. Light it and adjust until you have a nice blue flame.
