I'm new to EF, but from what I can gather, the fruits used in releases are seasonal and drive release schedule. It seems December-Feb was heavy on peach and nectarine and February has plum.

Can anyone shed any light on how things have home in years past with other fruits? Eg. How does the remainder of the year end up looking with releases? Everything in Jan and Feb has looked great...

Hey all,

At risk of being super annoying, I want to make one more push to get people to fill out my Casey survey. A lot of you have filled it out already, but I need a bit more to be able to do some fancy stats. I'd be very grateful if you completed it, and if you do, you'll be entered for a chance to win an Amazon gift card! Thanks so much!

Hello fellow TalkBeerers!

I am a graduate student in the marketing program at Texas Tech University. I study branding, and Casey Brewing and Blending has been kind enough to allow me to send out this confidential survey so I can study how people that buy Casey view its branding and pricing. I'm not officially associated with the brewery so nobody at Casey Brewing and Blending will see any individual data, but I will share aggregate response scores with them to help them learn more about how their most dedicated consumers feel about the Casey brand and its pricing.

The survey isn't long, so please answer all of the questions as you go through it, even if many seem goofy or similar to each other. Only my research assistants and myself will view your responses, so please be honest!

Everybody that completes the survey will be automatically entered to win one of six $50 Amazon gift cards (and the raffle entry and your survey will be kept separate to ensure your anonymity).

I am extremely proud and happy to be a part of the TB community, and I want to say thank you in advance for the time and effort you take to compete this survey.

Thanks once more from a TalkBeer and beer enthusiast, and if you ever see me at a tasting, please come up and say hello!

Also, hopefully this doesn't rub people the wrong way, but feel free to reply in mildly infuriating gifs if it does.

Miles Condon, M.A.

I'm curious, has any one else tried CFP: Elephant Heart Plum from January's release?

It was hugely enjoyable but I was also a bit surprised. I would not have guessed the fruit was plum. It came across like a mix of fruits. I would have guessed roughly equal parts plum and blackberry with a little bit of grape as well.

I imagine it's a good bottle to cellar. It's really well integrated, which maybe suggests drinking it now, but that also makes me confident it won't become disjointed with time.

It's more or less:
grapes
blackberries
cherries
apricots
maybe more blackberries
peaches/nectarines

With mixes of dry hop and collabs.

Plums. Don't forget about plums...and the occasion raspberry

I wish they would **** around with freshly dumped wine barrels more. A Pinot Noir Saison or a Chardonnay Funky Blender would be just great.

Can members still pick up on non-tour days? I dug through all my 2018 membership emails and everything talks about tour day pickups. Going to be passing through Glenwood on a Wednesday with no tour and it would be awesome to be able to grab my bottles.

Yep, just let them know through the intercom system. As long as someone is there you should have no problems.

Pickup dates are states in yesterday’s email.

Did this 9/7/17 bottling of independence nectarine FS only go out to members? and totally different from the 7/25/17 independence nectarine FS?

It appears so, I didn't see it on any of the menus. The 7/25 bottling was amazing, what did you think of the 9/7?

The 9/7/17 bottling of Independence Nectarine was 1pp when it was sold to members. Not sure if it was ever sold to go on-site. I opened it a few days ago (the photo swivelhips posted is actually the photo I sent him. I split the bottle with a friend and was enjoying it so much I forgot to take a picture with the glass full...) and it was truly amazing. I would venture to say the best Nectarine beer I've had from anyone and arguably one of the best Casey stone fruit beers I've had, probably including the dry-hopped stuff which is fabulous. It wasn't in your face ripe nectarine up from the get go but as you let it linger on the palate, the juicy ripe nectarine notes just started shining and it felt like the more you drank it the more fruit you got..kind of like it kept building. Anyway, if you have one, enjoy it. I wish I could get a case of it.

Anyone know where I could pick up a couple 12 bottle shippers in the Glenwood Springs or Aspen area? I went to go try to buy them at the Casey store but it shows sold out :(

I’m picking up bottles at Casey tomorrow. Need to ship some out.

Can’t help on the shippers, but if you do find them, don’t ship your beers out of Glenwood Springs. They’ve been confiscating a ton of boxes as of late.

Maybe try the intercom to see if they have extras they haven’t put up for sale, or post in the Members FB page and see if any locals have extras.

If you pass back through Denver I have a couple

I will be at Casey tomorrow (3/15) for the 2pm session. Hit me up if you are going and want to split bottles. Will have black mikkeller hat.

also any recs on to-go or on-site bottles is appreciated.

Not sure if on-site has changed since last instagram post but was looking to try leaner, advanced peach cut, excessive and recessive, and something else nectarine

FWIW Leaner is probably a single bottle per session. Maybe like 2. Not something that it will be 1 bottle per customer to order for consumption

Was lucky enough to try Leaner batch 3 on draft last week (Eric is the best and so is all things Casey) and it was great. I thought it was the best batch thus far.

Fruit Stand Ovation was a bit of a let down. Mostly because Independnce was so damn good. Oh, Advance Peach Cut is sofaking good

Dropped them off at Copy Copy near Casey. Zero issues.
