I'll lay out the scenario briefly. All grain brew a Strong Scotch Ale, using the recipe in the Master Home Brewer's Bible. Primary fermentation at 65 degrees for 2 weeks, secondary at 50 degrees for 2 months. Let beer warm to room temp, primed with 3/4 cup corn sugar, and bottled. Same ol' procedure that I've been following since the beginning, with no probs. I usually have pretty significant carbonation after about 2 weeks, but so far on this batch, hardly anything. Should I need not worry until about 2 months pass and still have nothing, or should I be concerned now? If by some freak thing that the beer is just dead, is there any way I can revive it?

you said, "hardly anything" if you are getting a little then you just need more time. Give it another 3-4 weeks and you might be surprised.

Have you done 50* for two months before and had carbonation after 2 weeks in bottles? I've never tried that, but it seems like the yeast population may be pretty small and would need quite a bit of time to get the job done. Like I said though, not an experienced answer.

This was my first time for having beer in a secondary at anything lower than room temp. I've brewed countless batches, but I am in the dark when it comes to temps that low.

Yeah, 50* is below the working range for ale yeasts I've used, so it probably went largely dormant. I'd think there would still be enough left to eventually carb the beer though. Leave it a few weeks and check again. I'll bet you have carbonation:mug:
