I think I might have over carbonated my beer today. I mixed 160 grams of table sugar in 21,5 liters of beer, which by calculator will make 2,8 volumes of CO2.

Now I'm not sure what to expect now....

Is 2,8 volumes too much, or should I just relax?

or maybe uncap all the bottles after a week, let them sit for a while and then recap again?

I am relaxed, just worried about gushing....

If you learn about "carbing for style" you'll see that there are plenty of beers carbed even higher than 2.8 without "gushing." You'll be fine.

I know some wheat beers are carbed up to 6 volumes... but this is an extreme... Thanks anyway for advice, I will just relax with 2.3 volumes carbed home brew :D
