im using carb syrup this time vs the tank.

should i keep it at lagering temps while carbing or set it out at room temp. (68-70f)?

I don't know about carb syrup. I'm guessing its just sugar. Are you kegging? Either way if its some sort of sugar it needs to be at room temp to carb.

i make my own carb syrup from corn sugar. yes im kegging it.
i figured the yeasts would eat in the cold as they did when the beer was in fermentation.

i ferment my pilzen at about 45-47f. then lager at 39-40f

just wanted to try it on a lager. ive done it several times with ales and it works great.

its nice to do 10-15 gallon batches and have a barrel in the kegerator and a spare or two available when you need them.

we entertain often, at home and at friends homes, so its nice to grab a keg, chill it and carry to our destination and tap.

of course we bring a small CO2 tank in case we need a boost, but usually it works out fine till it gets below 1/3 full.
