i didn't put a lot of thought into this

i had left over wort from 2nd runnings so i left it out in a pot with a grain bag over the top so no bugs will get in

it's been 2 days and it looks to have some scum on top, this morning there was protein strands and now a scummy layer all over the top

what should i do now?

how do i bottle it when ready, should i bottle it or was this a dumb idea?

Let it go for a few days. The wild yeast (and possibly bacteria) will grow and ferment the wort. When done they will flocculate to the bottom. They may need a cold crash. Decant or siphon off (for bottling if you want) and harvest the yeast layer. Tasting the wild innoculated starter beer gives an idea of the character your culture is capable of. If it's good you can do another batch with them.

Oh, I'd cover that pot (lid) so nothing else gets in.
