A few weeks ago I was going to brew edworts Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale thinking I had the ingredients in my inventory. Well I was not even close and this is what I had and threw together. (forgive my formatting I have not figured out how to format from beersmith)

10 gallon Batch

Ingredients
Amt Name Type # %/IBU
12 lbs Pale Malt (2 Row) US (2.0 SRM) Grain 1 83.9 %
1 lbs 4.8 oz Caramel/Crystal Malt - 10L (10.0 SRM) Grain 2 9.1 %
1 lbs Caramel/Crystal Malt - 60L (60.0 SRM) Grain 3 7.0 %
1.00 oz Crystal [3.50 %] - Boil 60.0 min Hop 4 6.6 IBUs
1.00 oz Willamette [5.50 %] - Boil 60.0 min Hop 5 10.4 IBUs
2.20 Items Whirlfloc Tablet (Boil 15.0 mins) Fining 6 -
2.0 pkg Nottingham (Danstar #-) [23.66 ml] Yeast 7 -

Normal 60 min mash turned out to be 152F
I do batch sparge

Here is how it turned out
Est Original Gravity: 1.034 SG Measured Original Gravity: 1.036 SG
Est Final Gravity: 1.007 SG Measured Final Gravity: 1.010 SG
Estimated Alcohol by Vol: 3.5 % Actual Alcohol by Vol: 3.4 %
Bitterness: 17.0 IBUs Calories: 118.1 kcal/12oz
Est Color: 6.3 SRM

It taste pretty good. Perfect for those BCM that refuse to convert. Not real hoppy but a good session beer.

when I do this again (in between BM's Centennial and my version of the cream of three crops) I will up the base malt a bit and dry hop with some cascade. Also will try US05 to see if it will finish up a bit lower.
