Can you use commercial bottles for your batch?

Newbish question but I was wondering if after drinking say a Sam Adams or whatever, can you clean and sanitize the bottles and reuse them for my own batch? I'd purchase new caps of course

yes. this is what most people do. steer clear of bottles that are twist-offs and use new caps each time you bottle a batch.
