I'm trying to build an electric RIMS System and just read online that you need a 15 gallon kettle so the diameter is wide enough to hold a weldless fitting. The curve of the metal is too great and must be welded. Is this true or would it be possible to fit it to a weldless ball valve to a 10 gallon kettle.

I'm guessing maybe it has to do with brands and height vs circumfrence and all sorts of stuff.. But I have a weldless ball valve and sight glass on my 8 gallon Bayou Classic pot. Doesn't leak.

My 10 gallon Polarware kettle has a weldless ball valve. I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to.

Matter of fact... both my weldless on that 8 gallon pot are from Bobby M... so order from him, and reasonably positive you'll be good to go.
