I bought some turbo yeast with the idea of making an all sugar wash. tasted pretty bad, but i didn't mind until i had a rough day, drank too much and passed out in a pool of my own vomit. could have died if my head wasn't elevated, so now everytime i take a sip i want to puke. never making that **** again (i still have 3 liters of it though). i hear Apfelwein is great tasting stuff, so i thought i'd have a go at that, but i still have a bunch of turbo yeast left. So can i use it? if so how much? should i modify edworts recipe at all?
 
ugh...why would you make sugarwash to drink straight?? that sounds painful.

i would get the montrachet wine yeast for the apfelwein. it's so cheap anyway.
 
Yeah, why? Spend a dollar or two (literally) on wine yeast.

We should keep your description of the turbo yeasts' output bookmarked for the next time some kid asks us how to make sugar-water hooch.

EDIT: Didn't people warn you that your hooch was going to taste like balls?
 
How old are you, seriously?

I don't honestly believe that anyone here is too poor to either buy wine yeast or buy new bottle caps. Is the "dirty, dusty" place you have to store your bottles under your bed, perchance?

Sure sounds to me like someone's who's afraid to venture into the homebrew store....
