I will be putting a new water pump in my travel trailer. There's nothing wrong with the current one except that it's louder than we like. I will also be building (some day) a brew rig. I had originaly thought about starting out with a gravity fed/manual rig but then I wondered if I would be able to use my left over pump from the rv. Thought it might be nice since it would be completely mobile by just hooking up a battery. Are there any issues with using this?

Never mind... Just found better specs on my pump and the temp it can handle is way too low.

That was going to be my suggestion.

I wouldn't chunk it though. You could use it for transferring regular water, or recirculating ice water through an immersion chiller.

That's a possibility. I may also use it to build a recirculating carboy/keg cleaner. Once I got to thinking about it, there's all kinds of uses for it!
