Hi all,
If anyone in the NY/VT area happens across a retail store with a lot of McEwan's Scotch Ale still on the shelf, could you please let me know ASAP? I'm looking to buy a bunch of cases of this stuff, since it's no longer imported into the US (F*cking Heinnekin Brewery), and is my favorite beer, ever-b'never.
I have connections all over NY or VT, so anywhere in either state is fair game. Thanks.

uh-oh. that's some good stuff. Imma hafta go to my favorite pizzeria and get a bottle. (they always have some on in the fridge)

Success! (somewhat)
During a business trip to New Orleans (land of barf smells), I found a hole in the wall beer/wine shop that had just over a case of the Scotch Ale (~27 bottles). I could only carry a 24 bottle case back to the hotel (in 95+ degree weather), and when I returned a couple days later, dude must have sold the last few bottles. He said he'd check the warehouse, and the day before I left I found another almost case (23 bottles) there and snapped it up. I've got friends in NO, so they took about 35 bottles and will bring them up around xmas time, I drank 3 over the course of the week, and I was able to pack another 12 in my checked luggage. All packed bottles made it safely through TSA security to Albany, NY. So I'm sitting on a 12 pack here, and another 35 or so bottles around xmas time!

P.S. A little bit of each of your tax dollars helped pay for my flight/hotel to/from New Orleans (NIJ Crime Mapping Conference), so thank you to all the US citizens on HBT who pay taxes... and no, you can't have any of my McEwans.
