Calculating KCl Potassium Chloride PPM's

Hello, I've been looking through all the water profile calculators but none of them mention the addition of KCl.. (I'm almost beginning to think it's a bad idea to use it)

Anyway is there anyone here who could help me out and explain how I would calculate the PPM's of Potassium and Chloride from KCl additions to my water?

Potassium is 39.1 g/mol
Chloride is 35.5 g/mol
KCl is the sum = 74.6 g/mol

So, to calculate the chloride from a KCl addition, multiply the mass of KCl by 35.5/74.6

You'd need the volume as well.

So 1 gram of KCl into 18.93l = (1 * ((35.5/74.6)*1000))/18.93 = 25 mg/l = 25 ppm
