Looking to buy a burner in the next week, just not sure which directions to go. I was hoping for some friendly advice.

I want something that will last and is versatile.

Suggestions?

I have couple 60k BTU burners from Bayou Classic...they have held up well over the last 3 years and can handle 10 gallon batches no prob.

I have the Bayou Classic burner as well, and has worked really well for me. I also have one of the Blichmann Top Tier burners with the 24" leg extensions. A bit pricey, but it does seem to be a bit more efficient with the propane than the Bayou.

Yeah, I was looking there. I was checking out this one..

That's the burner I have. Works really well for both 5 and 10 boils. It uses the same burner as the Blichmsnn, without the stainless parts. Not sure which I will get for my next burner (when I need two) but at least I have options.

I do like how even the heat is with the burner. No hot spots in the kettle that way.
