I have a friend that is a pipe fitter who hooked me up with a good length piece of 3" copper pipe. I'm hoping to patina the copper and put a brass faucet on it. I've already got the faucet, but need a flange and cap for the pipe. I initially intended on using PVC, but the ID on the cap and flange were too small for the copper pipe. The copper has an OD of 3 1/8". I've looked at copper fittings and it will set me back a ton, plus I'd really rather have that brass color to accent the patina.

I also thought about picking up one of these

and using the flange and cap, but that leaves me wondering if it will fit. Does anyone have one of these fairly common towers that could measure the OD of the tower itself and also the ID of the cap and flange to confirm that my copper pipe would fit?

Thanks!

I've considered that and I've also considered possibly using leather to hide whatever ugly compromise I come up with, but the question still remains of how to physically attach the pipe to the fridge.

You could use a nice piece of oak for a flange...that would look great with the copper.

brass cap isn't bad around $35. but flange is pricey just over $100.

take a look online for brass escutcheon. Escutcheons are the plates and covers that go around plumbing fixtures where they come out of the wall. They will be much cheaper because they are for visual aesthetics not function. We only carry chrome but i know there are different finishes out there
