Broken Growler?

I ordered a 2 Liter Classic Growler, but it came with the Ceramic Lid broken. The company said they would send me another one and I didnt even have to return this one.

Does anybody know of any good uses for a Growler with a broken lid? Do you think I can still carbonate in it by putting a rubber stopper in the top?

Can you scavenge parts from a Grolsch bottle to fix it?

Dunno about carbonating with a stopper, but I use mine for making starters.

You could always make a new cap out of modeling clay. Wouldn't be pretty, but I bet it would work.
