I'm finishing up my single tier brewstand and I'm just looking to get a little help with some of the finishing steps mainly the fittings for the keggles, pumps and plate chiller. I did a simple search but couldn't find anything specific.

Everything is fairly standard following a Brutus 10 clone. I've got valves for each of my keggles and that's pretty self explanatory but what about the return ports...what kind of fittings should I have for the keggles? On the brew kettle I have a wirlpool arm if that makes a difference.

Also I'm wondering about the connections for the pumps and plate chiller. Right now everything is straight out of the box. I would like to put a thermometer on the wort out of the chiller.

Lastly I'm wondering what everyone's opinions/experience on cam locks vs. QD.

Thank you to anyone who can help me out or point me to the right links!

I think it's really up to personal preference. I like the camlocks, but there's nothing wrong with QDs. I think the camlocks were cheaper when I bought mine, so that helped the decision too!
For the thermometer on the output of the chiller, I used a 1/2"npt stainless "t" with a dial thermometer with a 2" probe and a stainless plug on the opposite side of the thermometer. Kinda like this: View attachment ImageUploadedByHome Brew1436660887.913555.jpg
