They are the exact same as these..

unless your in europe I dont think you would want to pay his markup..

he is considering carrying these or the ones with the 30a twistlock connectors attached too I believe from a comment I thought I remember him making in another recent thread.

a lot of people use them , they seem to work as well well as the rest of the chinese based elements meaning as a whole there are more failures than camco but for the price its still a good gamble.

I use two twistlock TC based ones I bought myself from a manufacturer in china for $16 each. They work well.

Augiedoggy- thanks for the information. Looking for a better lower density element for my CBS 20 gallon than the straight one that shipped with the kettle.

I have a 2" Triclover fitting that mine fits into mine for the element.

Do you have a source for the triclover elements that have a 2" TC fitting ? I also like the the twist lock connection that you have.

Any help is appreciated.

Bill

You can use any element with this..

or this

Or use this element which has a nice enclosure...

If you really want the twistlock ones I suggest contacting manufactuers on alibaba.... I ordered mine from a gentleman named Allen Gu through email ([email protected]) but I bought the 1.5" TC model elements..(I checked him out and found he was a legit guy on facebook in china and seemed to work in the R&D at the element company.)
I paypaled him the money and he sent them promptly. the order was too small to place through alibaba due to service fees it wasnt worth it but thats were I initiated contact with him. I did get his permission to give out his email.

I know a few other guys who contacted me through private messages that have done the same with other manufactuerers.

If you're in the market for a weldless kit, that one looks pretty nice, especially if you are in the EU.

However, if you are open to having a 2" tri clover welded to your vessel, I really love the one's from Stilldragon; I am a very satisfied customer.

All tri clover sanitary connections-- IMO the best enclosure out there.

Auggie basically linked to the same kit above (http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-tri-clamp-moonshine-electric-heating-element-protector-housing-kit-/190805657161?hash=item2c6ce74649:g:b44AAOxy14VRQWJq) but it is more expensive (when including shipping to my location in the USA the Stilldragon enclosure is less than the sell price on ebay-- plus you have to pay shipping). Additionally, the Stilldragon piece has been around for years (the first of this version I am aware of).

I did also mention the still dragon enclosure to the OP yesterday in another thread he commented on in regards to this but since he doesnt use tri clovers the brewpi enclosure or one of the others like Bobby M's would make more sense..

understood.

is a bit pricey but after using it I think you would find it a lot more practical and worth it over spending like $70 just for a cool looking enclosure from brewpi that wont enable you to remove and clean your element and will still cost more with the element than the tc based setup. .. for the HLT it would be a waste since theres no practical reason to have to remove it but since I switched to a TC based element things got a lot easier for me.

Think I'm going to see if I can get someone at work to weld the tri clover flange on

Cool, Just make sure they have the right equipment and know how to make a sanitary stainless weld that wont rust.. quite often people have a friend do it and find out it was a mistake when it starts rusting because they didnt have the gas or heat right... theres a thread from 2 weeks ago where this happened and it wasnt pretty.

I have the Brewpi 2.8kw element and mounting kit. Very well made. I had trouble getting the thing to not leak, they solved it for me free of charge by sending an extra silicon ring that originally wasn't part of the kit (it now is).

It looks well made but from what I can tell, the cost plus shipping from Europe its not all that practical compared to other choices we have here for less that actually have benefits like removable TC element functionality and no fears of leaks at all.

Care to share where you got these?

I did... in post #4 of this thread. I posted his name and email...
The company was this one.
https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/home-screw-in-brewing-heating-element_60597498884.html if you buy 100 they are $14 each and $4.10 each shipping as I was quoted... shipping was considerably more for 2 samples though... The best way to contact them would be to contact Allen through the email I provided unless you want to purchase a large quantity to resell as a vendor.

There are other manufacturers selling them on alibaba too.. some come with the cord and even tri clover hardware... mine didnt.

Thanks for the info. Completely missed that reading through the topic the first time, whoops!

Just put in an order with Allen for a "sample" of a 5500W LWD foldback element, 1.5" TC with integrated twist-lock. Came out to ~$50 shipped (would've been $40 each for 2 samples). If you're looking to buy bulk, it would be ~$16 per with MOQ of 50pcs.

Pretty competitive pricing compared to other TC/Twist-lock options available. Hopefully the quality/performance is good.

Mine have been working perfectly... I have about 5-6 brew sessions on one of them now.
