Do you plan on adding SRM data for each grain at some point?

All of the SRM data is already on the site. If you are in the brew builder they are listed with each grain. If you are looking through the different grains put the mouse over the color swatch and the SRM is displayed. Fancy little trick.

Awesome, completely missed that! I was looking for it somewhere on the Add to Cart page.

Got my order today. First order from Ed, and I used the Brewbuilder for 3 recipes. Very well packaged. I really like the labeled bags. Makes the recipe shine.

Well done, keep up the good work.

Very minor note, but under the Recipes section, "Specialty Beer" is misspelled (Speciatly Beer).

I just fixed that. Thanks for pointing it out to me.

Ed

- Anyone in the Tennesee (Nashville) area going to the Music City Brew Off? I will be there and would like to meet some of the HBTers.

Hey Ed. Just found this thread (while searching for the specific heat of grains, go figure). I will now be buying from you--just wanted you to know.

Cheers

Thank you for the support. We will take good care of you.

I also wanted to put a note out there saying that we have added some new products to the website. Candi Syrup, Perlick 525ss, some yeast, and others.

A few more to follow tonight such as Cocoa Nibs, and Turbinado Sugar, and more yeast.

Thanks,

Ed

Took delivery of another $300 order.

Packaged up to survive an attack by the communists, delivered with lightening speed, and everything I ordered was in stock.

What more can I say?

Ed, I just had a brilliant idea. I'm in the preliminary stages of planning my wedding. That entails filling out registries. My fiancee (she brews with me) and I thought it would be cool if you made some kind of wish list or even registry system. Then people could buy us brewing swag instead of hot air popcorn poppers.

That'd be great! I'd sure of been more excited to get a bag of maris otter delivered than the same breadmaker twice..

That would be something cool. I will look into this.

Thanks

It is basically the spring in the one. The one with the spring bascially uses the spring to push the filler closed. The springless uses the wieght of the beer to keep it closed. I have used both and they both work fine. I may like the spring a little better, since I feel a little more secure with the spring.

+1 I bought the spring loaded one from Ed because my gravity one seemed to be less sure for dripage. Maybe it was a wear and tear issue, I dunno. The gravity one worked fine for a year, but then seemed to crap out.

Just purchased a Polarware 40qt. kettle and a bottle of Fermcap from you. Ship away man...lol. Can't wait to get my shiny new toy:D

One small suggestion...

When adding a recipe to the shopping cart on my order the other day, I decided to round up all of my grain amounts to the nearest pound so that I could just keep the extra on hand. Of course I did this without realizing that when ordering by recipe, all of the grains come in the same bag...it seems so obvious to me now, but at the time it didn't dawn on me. Maybe not a huge deal most of the time, but when you're talking about Roast Barley like in my case, it quickly becomes a useless bag of $30+ worth of grain.

Maybe add something to the checkout page (or in the blurb at the top of the recipe customization page) to remind buyers that when ordering by recipe, all grains will come combined. Even better (but harder to implement) would be text that appears whenever you increase the quantity of grain for a particular recipe.

DOH! :cross: Lesson learned.

Hey ED,

An FYI Fedex has there head up there backside again. Please don't let them send it back to you, I gave them directions, again.

Thanks for your help,
Hank

(I guess one out of five ain't bad)

I just talked to FedeX and it should be delivered tomorrow for you.

Ed

I hope I made this clear. Ed, you and BMW are doing a great job. Fedex hiring incompetent people has nothing to do with your organization. My rant was pointed at Fedex.

I will continue to use BMW and hope that the crappy driver is off that day.

Thanks,
Hank

I totally understand. When we first opened and did not have a daily pickup the drivers kept saying that they could not find our address. I had to laugh since we shipped with them. They will figure it out, hopefully.

Ed

I've twice had fedex leave a package at the wrong address in my neighborhood. I've also had UPS leave some wedding photos i shipped under a downspout, while it was raining. Even the UPS rep was speechless at that one.

On a happier note. Ed is the man. I know it's been said before but Ed never seems to tire of going the extra mile for his customers, even when he doesn't have to.

Just my bi-monthly plug for a great guy and a fantastic business.
