Any folks out there that have dealt with BrewJacket; do they have any online presence? I had emailed them a year ago when I got my unit, and there was an online community. Now the forums are missing, there is no email address on their site, their social media links are dead, their FB account hasn't posted in a year...

There were some things they were doing that was pissing off their community, but going dead seems petty. Anyone know any way of actually contacting them?

Alright. Still crappy for them to remove all support for their existing products. Sent an email to them (one I used before) and it bounced.

That seems SUPER shady. Wouldn't trust a company that does that.

I wouldn't trust anybody that claims you can make "good craft beer" in a week's time but that's just me... :p

In my experience they went from awesome to total crap in the customer service department. Contacting one of their founding members was the only way I could get some attention. It wasnt immediate and ultimately I'll never buy from them again, but my issue was sorta, though unsatisfactorily resolved. In the end I was given the excuse that they had new CS reps and an apology. Sounds like over a year later, they're still "new"

His direct contact is [email protected]

He was the only one I could ever get to respond. The ball can still be dropped even when talking to him, as he isnt in the repairs or "customer service" dept. He should at least be able to point you in the right direction, and he has enough pull in the company to make someone do something.

Jtvann, as it seems you have an immersion pro, curious if you could check something for me. For the insulated bag, is there a zipper on the bottom seam so you can remove the actual insulation? Apparently I need to fluff it in a drier, and Aaron says there is a zipper, but I nor my seamstress wife can find one. Curious if that is something that older (or newer) models had, and mine was done cheaper.

Unfortunately I have the conical version. No zippers though on mine. You'd figure they'd stick to the same design?

I'm assuming he says you need to fluff your insulation as it isnt giving you the temperature change from ambient that you're looking for. I challenge you to find a single person who's ever gotten 30 degrees change from ambient. It's just not going to happen. What's worse, is that by design there needs to be activity to disperse the cooled or heated liquid. As activity slows, the effectiveness of the system goes way down. Cold crashing for example ... not gonna get anywhere near 30 degrees. I'd say at best 20, and maybe only 15.

Yeah, best I have every gotten was 20ish degrees. But the way they ran their business I would not be surprised that they straight up lied about the ability to drop that low.
