Hey guys,

I've got my basic water analysis done and I'd like to start using brewing salts (should be arriving soon). My question is, the volumes of additions that are given by software like BrewFather or BeerSmith, do you add all of these to the mash or do you split them between strike & sparge water?

Typically some go in the mash and some in the sparge. I use Brun water and it tells you how much for each volume of water.

No real reason to add salts to sparge water. Adjust with acid if using tap water.

Add all those salts designated for the sparge water to the kettle.
