Love doing mead- started when i started brewing beer. I am currently going to do a sour series, and when i make the starters will probably have some left over. Has anyone tried to sour a mead? I am thinking more in line of a " Kreik Mead" using black cherries as the fruit.

Thanks! Seems there are some more " crazys" out there. I will let you know how it turned out. Mead for me is just a side adventure ( brew it more for the ladys of our group). If you are in Indiana ever give me a holler. This fall i have done Fall Mead ( tupelo honey, lots of fresh ginger, orange & lemon peel, vanilla bean paste, apple & white grape juice- served sparkling) and a Mexican Mead (w/ raw agave nectar and real Ceylon cinnamon).
