I always have a half gallon or so of beer that won't fit into the keg, and I also happen have a bunch of half gallon growlers that I don't use anymore.
I was thinking it would be cool to rack what won't fit into the keg into the growler, pitch some bugs, forget about it for a while.
Only bugs I have on hand at the moment is some Brett (in the form of a farmhouse sacc/brett blend), plus a jar of 34/70 slurry that decided to grow a random pellicle.
Are either of these going to work in a Manuka smoked robust porter?
My next brew is a Belgian blond which I mashed too high and will probably finigh high - I was thinking some bugs might be just the answer to dry it out a bit further than what the yeast can do and the farmhouse flavor should play nice with WLP500 Monastary ale?
I'm entirely happy to risk losing it, but if this is a terrible idea from the start then might as well let me know
