I recently brewed a 10 gallon hoppy pale ale (a zombie dust clone) I kegged half and bottled half. The kegged half has a nice vibrant hop aroma, but the bottled half is a malty mess, with very little hop aroma and "tastes like homebrew"

Anyone have and insight as to why the same beer would change so much?

I just kegged/ bottled about a week ago, so it's not aged out.

Any thoughts?

Bottle half may be oxidized. From my experience,it seems to reveal itself in really hoppy beers

Bottle need much more time carbonating. I'm kind of surprised there was much carbonation at all. It's like drinking a flat soda; it's much sweeter than it tastes when it's carbonated. Give the bottles another 2 weeks.
